Watertight doors
Merford watertight doors are suitable for a water pressure of 5mWK to a measure in the clear of 1000 x 2000 mm. Adapted constructions are available in the event of larger measures in the clear and/or higher water pressures. The type WD watertight door is operated as desired by means of 8 independently operated screw latches, a centrally operated latch or a handle.
Watertight doors of the WT type have a different shape to that of the WD type and also as regards the locking mechanism. This patented 'musketeer' system means a minimum amount of force produces a maximum maintenance-free seal.
